The Centre for Communication Disorders (CCD) was established in the Faculty of Education, University of Hong Kong, in 2005.

The CCD is dedicated to basic and clinical multidisciplinary research that is focused on the needs of people in Asia with speech, language and/or hearing disorders. 

The goal of the centre is to help overcome linguistic, social, health or economic barriers in Asia that may prevent effective treatment of speech, language and hearing disorders.
